Ralph Simon is one of the founders of the modern global mobile entertainment and content industry. He has been a prominent mobile visionary, trailblazer and innovator for the past decade, helping grow the world-wide mobile/wireless content and entertainment industries, and playing a central role world-wide in helping start-ups, and also, working with India's technologists and creative innovators to let their talent flow and grow their international potential, and their ideas and companies in India and also internationally.
He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mobilium Global, the mobile strategic group and think-tank based in London, providing high level creative and development advice and guidance to media companies, content creators and designers, multi-national telco operators, handset & tablet makers, technology infrastructure companies, brands, ad agency groups and platform providers around the world. Drawing from his vast international and Indian mobile market experience, Simon is at the forefront of the latest mobile innovation with a unique understanding of what drives Indian "cellification": he says it is 'colloquial & contextual significance and mobile revenues (CCR) - a key imperative in today’s Indian mobile economy and increasingly mobile lifestyles across India. He is a great discoveror of international mobile innovation, and particularly Indian innovation and mobile creativity created and developed in India. Most recently, he has been working in Africa, creating the architecture of a pan-African mobile delivery network for music, music video, educational comics and higher learning tools, and for many years has been a board member of leading Indian digital and mobile leader, Hungama Pvt Ltd. For past few years, he has worked very closely as an advisor, to FICCI Frames, and their big annual conference and Awards event in Mumbai, and brings some of the world's finest film and TV executives and personalities to India. He is well-known for helping Indian creative artists, writers and talent find a foothold internationally.
Founder & Chairman Emeritus of the influential international Mobile Entertainment Forum - Americas (MEF Mobile ), the respected global mobile content and commerce trade group, he is at the forefront of commercial mobile content innovation that boosts entertainment and global industry standards and telco content data, access, and quality user experience (QUE). He acts as a special advisor to the GSM Association, the global body who annually organise the Mobile World Congress each February in Barcelona.
Simon was named as one of world's Top 50 Executives in Mobile Entertainment, by Mobile Entertainment Magazine in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010. He received their Special Award for Outstanding Contribution To the Global Mobile Entertainment industry in 2007. He is known as the "Global Mobile Warrior" as he relentlessly travels the world seeking out mobile innovation and great mobile creativity. He is well-known internationally as a highly sought-after speaker at global conferences and Indian tech events. He says: "For me, India is indeed like a second home.
