Dr Oded Shoseyov is a professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an expert in nano-biotechnology. He aims to create super-performing materials that could change the way we build our future products. His inventions include human tissue, super strong and flexible fabric, food packaging all developed from plant-based proteins.
As serial entrepreneur he has established nearly fourteen companies that find ways to engineer new materials for use in human tissue, jet fuel and food packaging. Shoseyov is also co-owner and winemaker of BRAVDO winery named after his mentor, and partner Prof. Ben Ami Bravdo.
Shoseyov received the Kaye Innovation Award from the Hebrew University in 2010, and an honorable mention from the Israeli Prime Minister for his contributions in entrepreneurship and innovation in 2012. In 2018 he was also awarded the Presidential Award for his contribution to the Economy and Society of Israel.
