Libyan Human rights advocate and the co-founder of “Together we build it”
Hajer Sharief is an human rights activist in Libya, she promotes human rights, gender equality and political participation. She is the co-founder of the Together We Build it organisation, an intergenerational organisation working to promote peace and security in Libya.
In 2016 she was appointed by the United Nations Secretary General as member in the advisory committee for the progress study on youth peace and security mandated by the Security Council resolution 2250. Furthermore, she is one of UN Women group of champions for Women peace and security, Human rights. Moreover, she has been selected by Kofi Annan to take part in the the Extremely Together initiative on Countering Violent Extremism.
