About The Speaker:
Arjit Sen Thakur (Superintendent of Police, Hamirpur District, Himachal Pradesh)
Arjit is an engineer by education and has worked at various MNCs in Chennai, Bangalore and Delhi before joining the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 2013 (Himachal Pradesh cadre).
He has previously served as the Additional Superintendent of Police at Kangra, Mandi and Shimla districts and has also served as Aide de Camp (ADC) to His Excellency – The Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
A crucial area of his work has been the prevention of drug abuse and illicit trafficking of narcotics. He has focused on developing mechanisms of collaborative policing and utilizing information technology– something that has also proved effective in the fight against COVID-19 in District Hamirpur.
